Description
Logo for "Association des femmes immigrantes de l'Outaouais" (AFIO), which is a non-profit organization for immigrant womens in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. AFIO is helping womens to better integrate in the society, prevent abuse at work/home, financial help, etc.
My task was to take their old logo and make it look more modern. The main thing I did to the new logo was
- different eyes: to represent Caucasian, Asian & African womens (immigrants)
- hair style: I didn't go with the wavy hair style that they had before. The wavy hair became too strong on the logo, and it was giving the impression that it's a hair salon or a hair product. So, I decided to keep the hair really simple.
- fonts: to give it a feminine touch, what better then a curvy font + a sans-serif font for the full name.
